My permit expires at the end of this month. I sent my renewal in back in December, they cashed the check on 12/24. They sent me an email on 2/15 that ended up in my spam folder stating that they needed:
1. Please submit a letter (on agency letterhead) from your security manager verifying your current level of Federal security clearance with the name and contact number of the Security Manager drafting the document.
Has anyone had any luck getting their security folks to write something like that? When I asked a couple years ago for the initial permit I was told it was a violation for them to provide that information to uncleared folks even if they are the police.
It seems to me that they may be asking for something they know I can't provide so they don't have to renew my permit.
If anyone has a work around or experience with this I would appreciate some help.
