Remington R1 worth $550?

I haven't owned a 1911 for 25 years. I'm thinking to get one again and I have an opportunity to get a new full sized R1 for $550 OTD.

Anyone out there with one... thoughts?

That doesnt sound bad. Idk what they usually are but the absolute bargain basement cheap 1911s are around 450

Can buy one for $525 on gunbroker right now, but if you have access to it you avoid shipping/transfer/etc., so sounds like fair market value

I've had one since 2013 and it's one of my favorites guns. I have over 3,000 rounds through it with no problems and very accurate. $550 sounds like a good price.

is it an Enhanced version? that will affect the price as well, paid $450 used for my R1E at united.

Another R1 (standard GI model) owner. Love mine, haven't had an issue in the 6 years I've owned it. I do recall having some issues with the magazines it shipped with but forget the details. I bought some CMC mags and mostly use those. I forget what I paid but it was in the neighborhood of the price you're looking at.
