Your guy at the LGS is painting with pretty broad strokes. The Athlon Chronus is going to be better than Muellers in every sense of the word. The same is true for the Burris elite line. I had one and I sold it pretty quick. It was ok, but the features were nothing to write home about and the glass was similar. I would take an Athlon ares BTR over a Mueller.
