AA County Council Emergency Meeting on 1/7

There are 2 bills up for emergency voting tomorrow morning. Both are related to emergency authority and mask mandates.

I don't want to know where you stand on mask mandates, it's not worth the argument. No matter where you stand you should always voice that opinion to your elected officials who are supposed to vote on behalf of their constituents.

Wife was paranoid to come home after I had COVID. Afraid of getting sick

Was wearing a mask in the car with me

My dogs always have gas and it's often rank. They seem to really like blowing up the car.

She's complaining about the smell and I ask her if she thinks the mask was keeping the virus out since the dog fart could get in

Maybe it's not scientific but it got the point across. Mask disappeared

Volke suggested to me (email exchange) that he was confident that the vote would be party-line.

I don't trust Haire to not sell out. But, with a CoExec bid on the line, would she risk it?

That passport thing is terrifying, because there is simply no end to the ways in which that technology can be abused. We know that politicians simply cannot be entrusted with that kind of power.

The NPCs in Central Maryland will willingly accept their programming and go along with this because their "leaders" said to do it.

IMO, Haire is the wildcard. She's flipped before.

I've reminded Volke that Pissman is a statist, and we can only hope others reject the overt and unnecessary controls.

Not seeing a status on the votes (meeting scheduled to have closed at noon).

If the measures fail, the order expires, but there's nothing saying the Exec won't try something new.

With the order technically expired I ran over to Staples at Arundel Mills during lunchtime to pick up a few things. Only the old mask up if you're not vaxxed sign was on the door and it wasn't an issue.

Just in from Volke...

Mask mandate defeated, only received 4 votes (don't know the breakdown, but I'd guess it was party-line).

We can start spending our money in-county again.

Now, to wait for the next "emergency" Pissman tries to invent.

Was waiting for something like this... AACo Health Officer has pretty much parroted the prior order, backed by Hogan's overbroad SoE.

I guess the county doesn't need my money that badly after all.
