So i got one of these as a gift chambered in 8mm mauser. However a recent accident has damaged the stock, so i figured hey why not modernize it? (I know blasphemous) my question is what stocks are compatible with it? Hoping maybe something like ati or archangel kit that i could make it mag fed. Thanks for the help

There are craftsmen on Etsy that make some amazing looking stocks. You might be able to find one that can craft a stock for you.

There are a lot of woodworking miracle workers on here.

Post up some pictures of your broken stock.

    Maybe it's repairable.

Are you saying it was already Sporter when you got it, or was it original, and you are looking to do initial sporterizing now.

But anyway, I would go in the direction of a "normal" sporter stock, of walnut, laminate, or fiberglass to personal preference. Other than a straight bolt handle, the Spanish M43 is a clone of the German 98k. ( Does yours still have the straight bolt handle ?)
