So I picked this rifle up last week. The store had 7 on the shelf, most of them wrapped I'm some shape or form. When I get it home I notice some imperfections. Somehow I didn't notice this at the store. Anyhow I went back to the store and we compared them to other rifles. The others all had some imperfections but my particular rifle was the worse by far. The counter salesman was surprised no one noticed the wrap job before. When I asked if I could swap it w another, he shyed away suggesting I should contact Ruger bc it's a big hassle to swap a gun w background checks and all.

I say ok, called Ruger, Kyle picks up. He's like thats normal. I explain what I got in detail, he's again like that's normal. I finally pry an email address out of him. Im waiting for a response.

    What do yall think?

I have noticed that a lot of factory camo jobs are not that great. I have a friend with a windham weaponry ar-15 with snow camo. The camo chips off in little flakes all the time

Yea maybe that's how it is. I'll keep the gun. It's still nice and I'm sure it'll shoot well.

If I could have it my way, I'd love Ruger to take the rifle in house and put it in another stock that's in better shape. I'll wait n see what they say.

Good news. Ruger is sending me a new stock at no charge, they said it warrants a replacement because of the splotchy coverage around the sling mounts.

    I am good.
