NFA Picture Thread

Anyone in here really good with wood working? I bought a stock for the new toy that will one day be approved but the stock is a little different. not gonna bother to send it back to Poland, he gave me some money back . I think its worth keeping . Not in a rush as the gun wont be out of ATF hell for a few more months

You bought a MP28? Stock looks ok in the picture. What do you need done. What stock did you get?

Yes a Mp28, this stock is OK, just dinged to hell, I bought a new made one from a guy in poland but he apparently based it off the Mp18 so the front and some inlay areas need some work. I just figured maybe ill shoot it in the new made stock or have the new made stock as a " just in case" :shrug:

, he sent me 50 back , apex was selling broken stocks for like 80 a while back that were cracked in two :rolleyes:

M, We've been talking. He already has an invite to come out and shoot with us when it gets approved. :thumbsup:

We'll have to line up a handful of German subguns for that shoot. I'll bring 3.

Do you all have to pay the NFA Stamp Tax annually or is it a one time purchase? I was tinkering with the idea of making a short barreled rifle from a H&K pistol. I thinking it will cost me $400 for two stamps.

One time payment for a tax stamp.

I did pick up the mac10 but thats not quite as cool , Much faster than the MP28 though. I do love the mac for that

One time $200 to make an SBR.

Good thinking! I have always wanted a MP18 and this should be really close! Sorry no German SMGs here, only a HMG and a (heavy) LMG.

Maybe one day but I think another American SMG might be coming next.

If its a number matching stock, I would not pull it off. You might try steaming them out... not that I have ever done it but I have seen it on YT.

Somehow my wife thinks you are a cool guy. I’m allocating funds to night vision ATM. I’ll be getting back to FA soon. Probably going M16.

IMO that stock looks just fine from what I can see. The wear on the metal and the stock usually match well. Also on German guns, that should be number matching. Its a fun gun, Ive shot it for years cause my buddy had it. It was built on a new tube years ago but ive seen similar "rebuilt" Mp28's bring 14K plus 21% buyer premium which is more than i paid and i got a bunch of goodies with it
