The HF and walmart cans are very inconsistent. Not only in height, but stupid things like the grove on the bottom for stacking either missing or being too shallow. They are not horrible cans when on sale for $10, but just dont expect them to integrate well into your existing collection.

Sportsman’s guide usually has surplus 50 cals for $13-15. Over $49 is free shipping if you are a member of their club. A couple of times this past year they had buy one get one free deal. I got 8 cans in good shape delivered to my door for a little over $60. I think it worked out to about $7.75/can IIRC.

My philosophy has been to never buy the cheapest, never buy the most expensive. The best buy is somewhere between those two.

Blackhawk! (:secret: never forget the exclamation point) makes them new in America, and they usually ran about $10 or so. There was a deal on a bunch of them (from PSA, if I remember correctly...and I should, because I bought a case) that was shared here a while ago. Unfortunately, no one seems to have them in stock at the moment. :tap: I'd rather find rusty surplus or do without for a while than support the enemy.

Now, where can I find that ????????

You need a CAC, or a PIV first to get past the guards and on base.

    so very sad

Thanks for the head's up, but I can't get ammo to put in it. :)

I would say very hilarious if not so true. This is also the reason I won't try for another caiber firearm- like an SDS 1911A1 Army to dip my toes in that pistol and caliber. No ammo.. Like a visectomy. Shooting blanks or only for dry firing :P
