D.C.'s registration form--No Semi-auto Handguns!

I wouldn't mind a CCW permit process like the state of Arizona has. I think it would be good for people how want to carry concealed to have a course on laws and safety.

I think it depends if states are required to be "shall issue" then are they able to regulate the permit process? From what I have read from the Justice's opinions last week they are no opposed to some regulation.

If the government can be allowed to issue permits for free speech protests on public streets, then they might be allowed to issue permits for concealed carry in public too.
However, a government has to have justification for not allowing free speech protests and it must issue permits to protest equally to those that request it. If the same standard is applied to CCW, then it has to be shall issue and they would have to explain to the courts why they ban CCW in certain places.

I wonder how many celebrities (like Rosie), billlionaires and politicians visiting DC have gotten a permit to carry a handgun concealed in DC? I wonder if they were all or mostly semi autos.

I am planning on submitting an FOIA request on this if I have time.
