What work is typically performed (other than cutting/threading) for this install?

I saw mention welding the bolt handle to the bolt because they are silver soldered at the factory. Is this typically done by most of the custom shops?
Here is a link to the shop that welds the handle in place: http://www.accu-tig.com/

Answer from GAP: After threading, they coat the threads w/ marine tex to loack the threads in place. They have only heard of one person breaking their bolt handle off the bolt and don't normally do any welding.

I think Im going to send it to GAP. Said they have about a 1 week turn around. $95 including badger bolt knob and return shipping.
