Does anyone know if an IP or any store in Maryland has Colt stripped lowers for sale? I'd like to pick one up for a future project but I've never seen one for sale in MD.

That's the problem, I'd rather not pay that much just for the roll mark. A buddy found one at the Chantilly gun show the other week but they wouldn't sell it to him since he's from MD. I was just curious if they ever show up around here.

you can get a stripped Knights for around 200 right now.
if you want a colt rollmark, find a rifle online, have them ship the upper to you, and the lower to a ffl.
sell the upper and you have a colt to build off of.

Yep, a lot of guys will buy complete Colt rifles and part out whatever they are planning on replacing.
