I've been a member of this site for a few months but neglected to do the intro part.
Since joining the site, I’ve renewed my NRA membership and joined MSI. I’ve written emails and went to one of the hearings in Annapolis. This site has done more to educate me on political processes than school ever did.
I've lived in MD all my life. Grew up in a family that was indifferent to firearms but for some reason, I had a strong interest.
I learned to shoot a pistol at MSAR when I was about 16 with a S&W model 10. My mom had to go with me and it was probably one of the harder things for her to do. She leaned more towards the anti gun side but supported my interest and wanted me to learn safely. I was disappointed that I had to learn with an ‘old revolver’ but it was the right choice and I still remember the fundamentals.
Years later, I bought a S&W Model 66 as my fist handgun from On Target. Was a member there for awhile, then life took over. Time was limited and I grew a little bored shooting paper targets at an indoor range.
I’ve wanted to check out AGC for awhile and will do that soon. I bought a CZ 452 Trainer at the HoCo gun show from Gun Rack Ltd. I wanted to get a nice .22 rifle to have ready when I get around to obtaining a membership.
