LEO agency fingerprinting service near Glen Burnie

Before you flame me, I googled and researched through about 100 posts.. Couldn't find anything near by

Anyone know of a law enforcement agency that offer fingerprint services near Glen Burnie? Has to be police.

For a Florida CCW renewal.

Im pretty sure FL Requires Ink Cards for Non Residents, they also MUST be done by a LE Agency. I had to have the VA State Police do mine for my most recent FL Renewal.

Live scan can print onto the cards and is fine. $5-10 at most agencies.

Live scan won't work if not a LEO

Florida absolutely requires the prints to be taken by a Law Enforcement Agency. I couldn't even get them to accept my agency's (Fed Gov) doing them.

The only LE agencies I know of currently are as follows.

There is a Corporal at Queen Anne's Sheriff's Dept who will do them as long as his ink stuff holds out. Sorry, forgot his name. It is over the bridge off of 301 in Chestertown. $5

Frederick Sheriff's Dept. will do them all day on Wednesday's. $20

I know both are a drive but at least the CCW is good for 7 years now.

Yes it has to be LEO, but it can be done on a livescan machine and printed onto the FL cards.

Fingerprinting

I know it's a ride from Glenn Burnie, but Laurel Maryland PD will do the prints with no issues. They completed by VA and FLA cards, very pleasant and very professional. Check their web sites for days/times.

Just to clarify about livescan

Yes it is true that livescan can be printed onto FBI cards. The problem is that not all LE agencies spent the money for the printers.

I really hope Florida changes its requirements sometime in the next 7 years so I don't have to worry about it. Even better, maybe we will have CCW here in Maryland even sooner. :lol2:

Charles County Sheriffs office will do them Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 PM only at the St Charles Towns Center Mall in Waldorf. Call them to verify before driving down 301-932-2222.

I hear Police in Cumberland, MD will do it, and if that doesn't work, Try Ocean City Police.

I just wanted to follow up regarding the ink fingerprinting in MD.

I contacted the Laurel, MD PD and the woman who I spoke w/ said that they DO NOT do ink prints only livescan.. I explained to her that I needed to get ink prints done for a FL permit and she gave me the number 410-764-5160.

I just got off the phone w/ another woman at the number and she stated that ink fingerprinting is done at the MVA all throughout MD. I told her that I was in the Crofton area and she made an appointment for the ink printing at the Glen Burnie MVA this week. The cost is $20 and she said to bring the FL finger print card that was sent to me.

Hopefully this helps a few of you guys out there because i've read a ton of different stories on locations that do ink prints. :party29:

AACoPD will do it, just need to call and set it up, from what one of the employees told me it's all in who ya talk to, try calling Western District Station

Not neccessarily close... Carrol County Sherrifs office does ink fingerprints. Check their website for hours of availability. You don't need an appointment for ink prints, just show up during their listed hours. I used them since it was hard to find an LE Agency that still does ink.

Does the MVA count as a police agency??

And all the talk about "ink prints". I thought it was established it was ok to use livescan and print to the cards?
Did laurel PD have the accompanying printer?

Ok so had prints done at Laurel Pd today was about as painless as can be. First they could be any more pleasant to work with and only $15. I had four cards and still only $15 that's less than $4 per! And with the livescan print out on the cards no getting fingers covered with ink. The ability to print all four from one set of prints couldn't have gone faster. That was customer service for sure!
