I have a Buckmark Hunter that had a red dot sight. The previous owner did not keep the sight mounting screws from the original iron sights. It seems Brownells is out of them. To be clear, I don't mean the 8/32" screws for the rear sight base.

    Dies anyone know:

    1) another possible source

    2) what size screw they are in the first place?

From my experience shooting Buckmarks in competition you have to buy original Browning parts at one of those places, Browning, MGW, or Numrich. Obviously you can check Midway and Brownells and see what they have in stock also.
All that said if you mean the open rear sight as used on the short sight base or the full length rail they don't use screws to mount, only an elevation screw in the middle and a windage screw on the right side. The sight itself mounts using a pin that goes into 2 holes on the base and thru the front of the sight.

    Thanks for that info!

Make sure you have all the parts also. There is a flat spring that goes under the sight. you can see it in the exploded view from the parts list.

I wondered about something like that. I'll check the schematic.
