Cancelled -SOTAR Alumni Day - Saturday 10/20/2018

Sadly, I have to cancel this event. My daughter's US Navy graduation will be happening the weekend I planned this Event. All of my weekends are booked up for the rest of 2018, so the SOTAR Alumni Day will need to wait till spring of 2019.

This will be a free event for SOTAR Alumni who are in good standing. It will be held on a Saturday 10/20/18 from 11A.M. to 10 P.M.-ish in Elkton, MD.

SOTAR Alumni, their Families, and their AR's are welcome. It's a come and go event, you don't have to be there all day, but if you wish to do so, you are welcome.

It will be a Cookout/Potluck Event. I will have the backyard deck setup and the fire pit going for those who want to hang outside to socialize, drink, smoke, or eat.

Alumni can bring their AR's so they can install accessories, swap parts/barrels, or fix issues. I have FIVE workbenches with a Vise attached to each Bench. I'll be there to help or advise.

My Family will provide the following:

Red Chili (Beef)
Green Chili (Pork)
Grilled Hot Dogs
Buns
Fixings (Shredded Cheese, Chopped Onions, Grilled Onions, Tomatoes, Mayo, Avacado, Sliced Jalapenos, Sweet Relish, Dill Relish, Bacon, Sour Kraut, Sweet Peppers, Ketchup, Mustard, Spicy Mustard, and Siracha)
Bottled Water
Sweet Tea
Lemonade
Coffee
Half/Half
Sugar
Beverage Cups
Ice

Alumni may bring if they so desire:

Potluck Sides
Potluck Main Dishes
Chips
Beverages (Alcohol is Allowed)
Tobacco
Beverages (Alcohol is not prohibited)
Cooler/Ice
Folding Chair (We have seating for 24 but that may not be enough)
Folding Table (We may run out of Tables for Potluck Food)

BIG BOY RULES:

-If I have a problem with you don't come.

- If you are unsafe with a firearm you will be asked to leave. No warnings. All firearm handling must be done in the shop. You can't handle guns outside, the backyard is somewhat secluded but there are neighbors within eyesight.

-If you act like an ass you will be escorted off the property.

-This event is held at my home. Don't give out the address to anyone.

-If you consume ANY Alcohol you may NOT touch any firearms. So if you bring an AR diddle with it first, clear it, case it, stow it, and consume a beverage. If you plan to drink till impairment, book a local hotel or campsite at Elk Neck to sleep it off. I'll gladly call you a cab.

-If you Smoke or Vape, please do so outside.

-If you Dip, please dont spit on the lawn.

-Dont mess up the Bathroom.

-If you are a L.E.O. or have a Valid MD Carry Permit you MAY Carry CONCEALED. Don't touch or brandish it at any time.

I really love me some Chad.

Great Karma, I'm in!

In all actuality, it's up in the air - may be me and the boy. Mrs. DraKhen is due in mid-September with our 2nd, so I don't know if she can make it.

All that said, I hope to make it.

For those who are attending, the Holiday Inn Express is about 15 mins away, and is quite nice for ~$125/night, inclusive of tax. Their breakfast is just fine, too.

Having seen the new digs, this ought to be a lot of fun!

Sounds like a wonderful way to hold a house/shop warming party!

In celebration of this Meeting Of The Tribe, I am wearing my “JOIN OR DIE” SOTAR shirt to tonight’s HPRB meeting.

The licensing troopers always sit against the rear wall so they will get facefull of the big JOIN OR DIE logo on the back of my shirt.
