My pre-election panic purchase. I have wanted an AR10 since I got my 1st AR15 pre-2013FSA. Daniel Defense DD5 Ambush in realtree camo. I picked the rifle up on Tuesday, the Leupold scope and mount came for it yesterday, got them mounted up and a quick range trip last night before dark. All I had on hand was some cheap PMC Bronze 308 and a less cheap box of 308 Fusion from Walmart. I could not find any Federal Match 308 locally so I have some coming next week to try. In short... I LOVE THIS THING. Since I am a fudd at heart, I went with the realtree version so it was not that scary black. I will probably carry it in the deer woods this fall, and hopefully get on a hog hunt later this year with it. I was in Cabelas in PA last week and picked up a couple extra Pmags for it, 2-10 rounders and a 20-rounder. Accuracy with the limited ammo I had on had was excellent, better than my trusty old 30-06. It's a little heavy but not obnoxious.

I ended up going with a Leupold VX-3i 4.5-14x40mm CDS. I looked hard at a Nikon M-308 and a Vortex, but in the end the Leupold got the nod. I ordered the CDS dial for it yesterday.
