Never been so happy, and depressed, to not have $18K available to me.

Where does one actually get to shoot these? I did get to have some full auto fun at the Ft. Meade range about 25 years ago, but I have no idea now where you would be able to shoot these.

The MD Thompson Collectors Association (MDTCA) holds twice-monthly MG shoots at the AGC, mostly on the pistol range. Our annual pumpkin shoot is this Saturday, 11/04, from 1300-1700.

Hmm - new car or M16A1??

Go to Freestate gun range and rent theirs. Then go back a week later and rent it again. By then someone else will have purchased the M16 and you will be still married. :)

Or, go down to Rockville and buy this one today. Justify it to the missus as being paid for by your last 5 Christmas bonuses at work.

Either way, you should be ok financially. If you buy it, I want a chance to shoot it. :D

How long does a car last?
Does it go up or down in value?

Depends on the car. But these will probably fare better than your typical Chevy.

Now that you mention it; I have read that while these hold their value - they don't appreciate a whole lot save for spikes in the market. That graph that someone posted is a snapshot in time. Try plotting over a longer time horizon adjusted for inflation.

I say done' buy these for an investment. Buy one because you only live once, you can't take it with you, and they are so f*g cool. :party29:

Chart plots value increase over the last 13-14 years... that is a pretty good indication of the mid-term value trend, I think. But if in order for it to be a true investment, you've got to be willing to sell it to take the profit... that's where my plan falls through :-)
