My Sikh religion tells all members in my faith to keep weapons and train with them. So the Pope is free to express whatever he desires.

I find it difficult to believe that God would have anything against people being able to protect themselves, their loved ones, or any other person being unjustly harmed
I was just about to say that. I have issues with some of his statements too. He also said we should not build a wall to protect our borders, yet has lives behind very large walls and is protected by many firearms etc...

He’s doing a fine job of insuring the Jesuits never get another pope. I decided I was over the guy when we cracked down on the Order of St John, effectively ending the run of independence held by the militant orders. ( I know the Order of St John is at best tentatively connected to the Order Hospitaller but still the principle of it)
