We have a 25 year old jacuzzi-type tub that looks to have developed a crack in the bottom; made out of some sort of resin? Repar needed.

Might also install a handheld shower device in a shower stall.

PM if interested, available. Thank you.

Anyone recommend a plumber with experience with this sort of crack repair? I'm getting kind of smelly.

Plumber and crack repair? Say it ain't so :lol2:

Seriously tho...don't know if you've gotten any pm's yet,, but plumbers don't typically do this type of repair.

The tub could be acrylic or gel coated fiberglass. My bet would be acrylic. Being on the bottom could present a problem to do a repair on either type. I used to know some repair guys, but that was 20 years ago and in southern md.

You could try an internet search (acrylic/fiberglass tub repair refinishing) or plumbing supply houses (Ferguson, Thos. Somerville) and ask if they have anyone they could recommend. I can ask around to see if there's anyone that covers TP. I'll pass along anything that might help.

fwiw, seems the guy that I knew of was last name Betz
**edit to add i think this is his company:

Check out this link. Jacuzzi tubs are usual made out of fiberglass, so this boat repair kit may work. Probably look ugly as hell and you may need to correct what caused the crack.

(If the floor settled underneath or concrete bed was done incorrectly)
