    I've submitted testimony for HB175. The "bill tracker" on MSI is blocked at my office so I can't view MSI's information on the other 2 bills. I'll read them and write my testimony when I get home this afternoon.

    I really feel that it's important to send more than "I don't like this bill." By using the information at MSI, I was able to write a coherent letter explaining the illegality of this bill due to the Brady Act and the unlawfulness of using NICS to request background checks for ANYTHING other than firearms purchases. I was able to illustrate that the bill is a non-starter because aside from the illegality of it, there is no means to implement or enforce such a law.

    The legislature is simply amazing- they are throwing spaghetti at the wall as fast as they can, to see what sticks and to see if they can out run and exhaust 2A proponents, lobbyists and lawyers.

    You can also do what I did if you don't want to submit testimony but still want to express your opinion:
    • Select your Bill(s);
    • Select your position from the drop down (typically "Unfavorable");
    • Select "No Testimony" from the drop down on the right (this MAY be hidden - you may need to scroll over) ;
    • Go back to the top and click the "Save" Button.
    If it didn't work, the site will tell you.

    If we all beat these bills like a cheap crack whore (like a HUGE number of "Unfavorables") we can send a message that the Political Overseer Class will find it tough to ignore. So get your friends, acquaintances, relatives, debtors, etc. to do at least this.

    This fight is ours to win or lose!

    Just submitted written testimony opposing HB-0175. Hopefully I can extend my lunch hour and bang out something for the others. If not, I'll submit a position without testimony.

    DON'T FORGET TO HIT THE SAVE BUTTON, top-left.

    Done. I still can't believe there are 2 ghost gun bills being heard on the same day by the same committee. Nobody told the new guy.

    Yeah, and they step all over each other. One would *think* that our elected representatives might coordinate with each other a little. Maybe.

    Tell me about it. HB1291 is a joke. I know that Delegate Amprey just started this session but dang. It is clear he did not know about HB 638. Either that or he is pandering to his anti ghost gun constituents. Go bold and look like a fool.

    One elected rep got their bill from Giffords, and the other got it from Demanding Moms/Everytown. The reps don't care as long as the check to their re-election campaign clears. They can hardly answer questions about "their own" bills.

    Seems like since the national election they're not even bothering to hide their contempt for the constituent peasants any more.
    it's better when the opposition is stupid and un coordinated .

    That's pretty much all the time...
