There aren't a lot of options for folding an ar15. The easiest to find are:

Law Tactical (which is the one you can fold on a regular AR, but cannot shoot it unless the stock is extended):

    Hera Arms:

And Ace, which require an AR adapter plate, a hinge, and an AR stock adapter or some other style stock (like theirs or an AK type):

Or go all in one like the AGP rig:

I have no experience with any of these other than the Ace products I have on my AK. For what its worth Hera magazines have taken a lot of negative criticism. No idea about their stock adapter. Also, I have read that the Law Tactical adapter doesn't work with a Magpul UBR unless you notch the stock a bit to make room for the hinge when folded.

ETA: Stormwerks makes a hinge that works with Ace products and some feel is superior and easier to get. They look the same to me, if appearance counts.

Crap, I just saw this thread today!

    Very slick setup.

Since there's no requirement for a buffer tube, could you put the 12.5" on a lower and classify it as a pistol?

Yup, as long as the lower was transferred as "other" and has not been built into a rifle.

Just get one of these for the buffer tube hole and call it a day:

Doh. Got my folding stock adapter in the mail last night, but there is a gouge in the top, through the finish and into the metal. It wouldn't be a big deal except a) it invites corrosion and b) for near $200 it really ought to be perfect.

Waiting on a reply from the dealer.

    Law Tactical, via eBay. :\

Its going back for a replacement. Too expensive to take anything less than new condition. I'll eat the shipping, but oh well.

I see a couple on there below retail.

Fyi it looks like a very solid unit, but I'm reserving judgment until I can mount and test it.

    One week down...

Today I snagged the flash suppressor/suppressor mount. Probably order a two stage trigger for my current lower this week too. Then its a matter of deciding which stock I want on this thing. Leaning UBR.

Side note: the "legalize SBRs in WA" bill has until tomorrow to clear the senate. Here's hoping...
