Got the front axle welded up today so that's done.
We stopped at WalMart right after we picked it up.
Wife went in I hopped in back and tried it.
    She started right up.
So I will coat the axle and start putting her back together.
Did you have trouble shifting gears?
I found an issue that was easily fixed in 5 minutes.

    Again thank you!

typical, shake it around and it will start. not really a trouble, it was getting stiffer but not a big deal. there is a mulch kit on it so don't freak out if you don't see grass shooting out the discharge.

it was just time for an upgrade really so I didn't want to spend the time going over it. wanted faster cuts, tighter turning radius, and better hill performance.

    welcome

We were camping outside of Quarryville, PA heard a lawnmower running on an obvious Amish farm. Thought that was kind of strange until the mower came into view. About a 14 horsepower rider being driven by an Amish man......being pulled by two mules.

Evidently motors were ok for machine function....but not ok for your convenience.
