Figured I better put my costs in this thread since it is the cost thread.
Complete G22 upper, came with all lower parts to complete the build, eBay purchase $339.98 and free shipping.
P80 lower from Brownells on sale &119.95 and free shipping.
    I already have a magazine so $0.00
    Ready to shoot as a .40S&W $459.93

Now I did convert it over to 9mm so I had to buy a conversion barrel from Lonewolf for $99.95 and free shipping, but I did sell the 40 barrel for $70 so add the difference of $29.95
I also changed the extractor and ejector, but had the 9mm ejector on hand so add another $19.95 and free shipping to the total.
I already had a couple 9mm magazines from my G17 that my daughter has graciously borrowed. Kids, go figure. ;)
    $509.83 total
It was a police trade in so we shall see how this one runs, it’s a little stiff right now but I need to work it in a little bit I figure.

Nice job. You could have potentially made it even cheaper by buying a complete G22 pistol for the same or less than what the slide and LPK cost, and sold the frame for a few bucks. I guess it depends on transfer fee costs.

I wasn’t in for the Maryland waiting game, I still had to wait for shipping times but it feels good not having to deal with the man.:party29:

You can have the seller/dealer keep the frame to sell on consignment or to take a saw to it. That way, you never have to deal with getting a frame transferred to you.

Never thought about doing it that way, might need to look into that next time.

It's also a good way to get free frames to practice modifying if you sell the parts that come attached to the frame. That way, you not only can leave the matching frame for your gun original, but it's not a big deal if you screw up or want to try something different. I've been meaning to practice some grip reductions and stippling when I have time.

The magic was the free slide parts. Glock charges $67 to install night sights in your factory glock pistol, and if you send them the slide stripped, they’ll replace the slide internals for free ($100 worth of parts for nothing).

So for $67 I got factory glock steel night sights and all slide internals.

Also the threaded barrel was stupid cheap. BCA had a massive sale

Did you strip the channel liner also? I might need to send in a slide or 4.

Yes I stripped every damn thing. They won’t replace the barrel or recoil spring but everything else is replaced new, ready to add barrel and RCA and shoot

There’s a form you fill out and mail in with your slide. DO NOT send the frame.
Everything you need to know is here:

    https://www.ar15.com/forums/Handgun...night-sights-installed-Happy-Cost-/13-162634/

Form is here, include 6% sales tax with payment:

    https://us.glock.com/documents/GLOCK Warranty.pdf

Looking through that thread I might opt to send in my G23/357 Sig build slide for a refinish, it is a little rough. Think I’ll call Glock tomorrow and get it ready to ship.

Anybody cut a G19 Poly80 frame down to fit a G26 slide but kept the longer grip? This looks cool
