For the record, neither I nor Tyler Firearms made any comment about the Patriot Picket to the Capital Gazette. Just because it’s on the internet, does not make it true.
well i went to remove my comment on Facebook after talking to a prominent member of the Patriot Picket . It appears after talking to you that he believes you are a victim of fake news. I apologizes for my FB comment and would do so on FB also but it appears that it has been removed .

I posted a letter to the editor on their website to clarify this whole mess and received an email response from one of their editors today. He would like to speak on the phone tomorrow about it to clear things up. I’ll post again when I have more information.

What was the jist of the originally claimed post?
Who uses the term “buffoon”?... LOL
I love to use out of style words like that. Once the term has been out of fashion for just ten years or so, you sound like you're quoting Shakespeare. The problem of course is that most people who need to be called a craven, lilly-livered poltroon, a milksop, a skinflint, a charlatan, or a harlot won't even understand what you're saying. But it's still fun.
Those are awesome words! I sometimes forget how flamboyant the English language used to be... LOL

Sorry to slightly redirect. For those looking in, is it correct that the Capital Gazette dropped pursuing a restraining order against the guy that eventually murdered people in their newsroom? If this is correct, would there have been a mechanism (in place at the time) to go after go after his firearms due to the threats he had made? Not saying that this would have stopped him. If he was intent on doing harm, he would have found a way (unless there were legitimate reasons to institutionalize him).
It is notable how the CG has made this a story about gun availability in already strictly regulated MD (in which the shooter got his firearm after a background check) and the gun community. UBCs wouldn't have prevented this tragedy, and 2A advocates who fight back online are being vilified more than the actual killer.
I recognize that the reporters and Editorial staff do not make the business and legal decisions for the Capital Gazette, which would have included how to enhance workplace security and to more fully pursue the aggrieved individual. I bet management was hoping that the problem wasn't serious and would go away. But there's no way that the CG journalists can cover this end of the story. Instead they want to report that the PP are a bunch of meanies.
And back on track, Chuck, sorry that you were drawn into this vortex by commonality of name with the letter writer (or possibly someone trying to spoof you).
The "Crapital" editor clearly stated that they didn't "want to make matters worse" in regards to pursuing legal remedies, and that they didn't take steps to secure thier facilities because "they are a community newspaper and needed to be open to the community".If I am reading correctly, the victim that suspect Ramos was allegedly harassing had over time filed 3 seperate restraining orders against him. In addition, it appears that victim's attorney had communications with the court regarding Ramos as well.
I do not see any indication here that either the Capital Gazette or their parent company (The Baltimore Sun) sought any additional remedies from the court. Perhaps they did, but it appears from the "hornets nest" reference made herein that they likely did not.
