I would not put that on a Mini 14. How about a bolt gun? Ruger American? Tikka T3x Lite? Savage 10? For a Mini 14 I would not have anything above 9X.

And Old Bay goes on EVERYTHING!!
I don't have a bolt gun aside from my Enfield. I don't actually own a lot of centerfire rifles. I have an Eotech on my AR. I like that setup. I do have a lower I want to build into something fairly accurate that would maybe be worthy, but that is still a ways off. I'm pretty happy with the set ups on my rimfires. Maybe it will go on the mini temporarily. It is a newer one that is more accurate.

I won't make a value judgements about a Mini being * worthy * , but it isn't particularly Suitable .
How about your Rimfires ? Any candidates there for a temporary platform for your present ?

All of my rimfires that I want to have scopes, have them. And I'm pretty happy with them. Eventually I'd like to upgrade the one 10/22 to a higher power, but it's stainless and currently has a silver vx-1 3-6. I still do a lot of off hand with it, so that set up seems to work.

Next thing you know, I'm going to have to buy her another scope...or another rifle 
! She liked the Redfield 4-12 I have on my American...and the Leupold was about the same price. I think it will do fine on the Mini-14

IMHO, it for a centerfire rifle worthy of that glass. It seems like hubby will maybe get the hint? (cmonnnnn hubby, you're halfway there now!)
