  • Barrel is 9".300blk and the gas block is superlative arms. The problem is the instructions for the sa block say to space the gb .025" from gb shoulder and the shoulder on the ba barrel has a slight bevel to it preventing me from accurately spacing the gb with a feeler gage. Is the bevel there to represent the correct spacing when butting the block against the shoulder since its not at 45°?

First things first. Where are you located?

Second, when do you need this done by?

Third, do you have a bore scope?

Fourth, if you do not have one, would you want to do the install on my bench, using my bore scope?

Normally if you flip the gas block upside down on the barrel, you can use the screw hole as a guide to make sure the hole is lined up. I think most companies drill the screws in line with the gas hole so you can use it as a guide. The clamp-on style also should have a guide hole you can use.
