It looks like the former Moms spokesperson Marie Newman lost her primary bid to be the D candidate for an Illinois congressional seat in District 3. There isn't a serious R challenger for the general election, so if she had won, she'd have effectively won the general election and the seat.
So all may not be lost in November.

Note that the supposed anti-bullying advocate Newman advocated that her opponent have a "very painful evening" waiting for the final vote tally in the very close election.
