After Chad's class I decided I need one. Which one?

Geissele is twice the price of the brownells

They both do the same thing, just one doesn't have a $100 price tag and 'Geissele' on it.

    Simple choice, IMO.

Primary Arms had a Geissele Sale last weekend 20% off. The Reaction Rod was $79.99 I believe. It looks like prices and availability of AR stuff is loosening up; at least until the next panic. Used to be Geissele stuff was always "Out Of Stock" until recently.

The Brownells is "designed" to clamp the wrench in the vice, and turn the rod with a ratchet. It is short to be clamped in the vice.

True, but I have one for 308 that I have milled flats onto so it can be used in a vice like the Geissele. It works fine now.. ;)

I did get the Brownells one, but have not used it. It looks too short to clamp in vice.

The Brownell model is a little shorter, but with my 308 rod there was enough to allow milling of two flats and enabling it to be clamped in a vise. Not as much as the Geissele, but enough to work fine.

I do have a Reaction Rod for the AR-15 and like how it works, didn't like the intended design of the Brownell model, but with vise flats it works the same now.. ;)
