Yes you do. I haven't gotten around to taking pictures of these rifles individually. I need to photograph my M1889 because it is beautiful and has a very nice tiger stripes stock. I am finally getting my verboten magazine this weekend.

I was worried about this but the one for myK31 obstructs the front sight. I think I'd have to be really inattentive to forget to take it off. Or shooting from the hip

That is true, and while I say I almost forgot to take it off, I didn't even sit down and shoulder the rifle. I was getting ready to, then noticed. So, I decided to leave them off.
I don't think they really serve much of a purpose going from safe to range, and I like to let my bores have plenty of air flow in the safe. I just keep them on my shelf with all my randoms like oil bottles, bayonets, ammo pouches, etc.

I got the dreaded 12 round magazine for my gorgeous M1889. I am no photographer and am not skilled at those fancy shots of rifles in rustic settings on top of 1,000 year old teak logs, but hopefully these pictures show you how beautiful this rifle is. The broken terra cotta pot is about as fancy as I get.
