"After selling through our current inventory commitments, we will discontinue sales of short-barrel rifle ammunition such as the .223 caliber and 5.56 caliber that, while commonly used in some hunting rifles, can also be used in large capacity clips on military-style weapons," Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said in a memo to employees on Tuesday.

He said the company will also end the sale of handguns in Alaska — the only state where Walmart sells handguns — and stop selling ammunition for all handguns nationwide."

Will they be discounting it at least to liquidate their inventory? Asking for a friend.

No, that's going to happen when the left inevitably moves to stop ammo sales at gun shows and online.

Yeah. Expect everything to be sold out within days of a bill introduced in Congress if Dems hold both houses and the presidency.

Expect them to sell out of anything they get at 5x markup within minutes of updating inventories.

I went to Walmart yesterday afternoon to pick up some 45 ACP. Still had plenty. Interesting conversation I had, though. There was an elderly African American woman at the counter getting duplicate keys made. When she saw me buying 400 rds of 45, she knew what it was all about. She said, what's wrong with people, it ain't the guns that kill people, it's the people that kill. There was a girl behind the counter, and she nodded her head and agreed. I have to say I wasn't expecting those two to have that opinion. This was at the Columbia, MD Walmart.

guess I'd better go to Walmart and buy a few boxes will I can.

No! Let them stew and don't reward them with your patronage. Buy it from someone else. Buy MORE of it from someone else - it won't go bad, but it will always get more expensive in the long run.

Why not help them deplete their stock? And spike sales, so they maybe go HMM, we can sell more and make more money.

I stopped by a couple of Walmarts last Saturday and got a good stash of 9mm.

First I want to say thanks for this thread and any of the other 4-6+ that were mentioned. When wrong is forced upon the good guys, we have to fight back and be as visible as possible.

As for me, I used to shop at Walmart for all manner of items from guns to ammo, to bedding to oil to tires to socks and shoes and food.
NOW, I will have to go elsewhere. Now just as I need new socks and work boots, I look for alternative vendors. I almost decided to head up to Jessup to Ollies. BUT I looked on my laptop to check their 2A position which gets a failing grade due to the CEO basically telling legal to carry owners they are not welcome.

SO, May I ask you members, if you wanted to buy some regular white work socks such as the basic Hanes, Dickies, Fruit of the Loom type that Walmart sells, where would you buy them that support our 2A rights?

On a side note. The last time I bought a gun from Walmart it was a Ruger 10/22 I got a decent deal on.
Of course after waiting to get it special order, I went in to pick it up and I will tell you that was the most awful process I ever incurred in taking possession of any item I ever purchased in my life. Not only did the elderly Black employee who I KNEW, give me his usual too good to be bothered attitude as he taped the box shut in about 6 places and essentially defaced my factory box, but then I had to be escorted out of the store, then directly to the car. Basically I was forced to submit and have her assist in placing the gun in the car. Here was this Indian, Pakistani, Hindu/ Muslim type woman store manager, my Korean girlfriend who was along for the purchase and the whole time this occurred I could not help but think to myself, "here I am a legal, 50 year old white male, buying a gun from a 80 year old Black retired Fireman and Coast Guard retiree, being escorted from the store by 2 Women of color as the one carried the gun to our German car and I could not even hold the box until we essentially left the parking lot of our friendly neighborhood Walmart."

    Here's your sign, Lib Tards.
