55 gallon drum of Hoppes #9

I'm looking for some advice on what this could sell for. I've got a metal 55 gallon drum of Hoppes #9 cleaning solvent. It's between 5-10 years old, but it has been used recently and is still good to go as far as I can tell. Does anyone know what this should be sold for, or a ballpark price?

Walmart sells it for $15/quart. Quart jars sell for about .75 each.

if you sell it for $12/quart you could net about $2500

This actually seems like it might be worth me breaking it down to smaller quantities and selling it. Hopefully there's enough people on MDS with a hankering for some Hoppes.

I’d buy a gallon from you but it’s one of those things where I’m not driving 35 mins to Odenton and 35 mins back to save $15 bucks.

I only mention that last part as something for you to consider when parting it out. May not be as easy as you think.

Sealed in a shed. It’s been used recently for fun cleaning and it was good to go.

Interested in a trade? Our house has a 2 car garage but we have 3 cars so I bought this. Was able to make it fit but we probably have about 40 gallons left.

Probaby the same way you get 15 gallon buckets of CLP..the military. The Navy uses it to clean and lubricate naval cannon and small arms. We would literally dip our 1911s in a bucket of it

Is it hazerdous material re transportatio, storage, disposal?
Does it have a prominent hoppes label? With a glass top and a willing spouse might make a nice night table.
