For me, I will not confirm nor deny. In this political atmosphere be careful what you say and do.

I never particularly cared for them, and honestly still can't get too excited over them- 100 year old single shots and Savage 1899's are much more down my alley. But when politicians started taking steps to deny my access to one I decided it would be in my best interests to snag one. Even then it took a couple of years to get around to it.

Now that I have one, I'm finding it to be fun to shoot and am enjoying it. If offered a trade on another decent takedown M1899 Savage I would probably go for it though. It (AR-15) doesn't represent a huge deal to me aside from the gun rights aspect of owning it.

    Wonderful post.

Full of nostalgia, history, and one of the best reasons to own an AR (gun rights - Second Amendment); this is exactly why I bought my first (before the first AR ban).

Was never really interested in one until the state tried to take it away from me. Now I have 2 and my fiancee has 1! Guess their plan backfired... :D

Not a huge fan of my AR's but they're ok. I built them because the lowers were $35. I'm still more of an AK guy.
