I like the last paragraph best.

"The receipt of a decision letter is NOT the granting of a permit. Permits are issued by the MD State Police only, and unless an action for judicial review is initiated by either party, a permit shall be issued in due course from the MD State Police, when deemed appropriate."

When deemed appropriate is pretty open ended.
The last paragraph. What kind of crap is that? That is the opposite of progress. MSP can still decide whatever they want after the HPRB makes a decision. It was better under O'Malley if that is true.

Board’s Action Requirements Within 90 days after receiving a request for a review/hearing of the Secretary’s (of the State Police) action, the Board, at its discretion, may choose either to: 1) Review the record developed by the Secretary of the State Police; or 2) Conduct a hearing. Decisions of the Board are not final until a written signed decision is sent to the applicant or holder of the permit

Makes it easier to quickly process those with prohibiting backgrounds. A certain security company sends those flatly ineligible regularly...

Wilson has done nothing to indicate that he'd deny a hearing to anyone without a prohibiting record and has expressed his chagrin about the previous chair and boards almost automatically issued review notices instead of offering a choice.

There were 6 hearings scheduled tonight. 1 cancelled. Doesn't smack of a chair or board unwilling to hold hearings.

This is why you should have a lawyer.

Anyone want to share the going rate for a lawyer for this for someone with a restricted business permit? Sounds like Brittany Stouffer is council of choice?

eta: business owner trying for unrestricted due to OPM breach, however original permit is for business not related to job that I was OPM breached (I have 3 jobs...).

Is Marcus Brown back in charge of the MSP? This is a step backwards to what is was like before.
