So I thought I would try my hand at building a 1911. I finished cutting the side rails and barrel seat last night but I noticed that my frame does not have a feed ramp and neither does the barrel. The frame is from stealth arms and the barrel is from a parts kit I bought from sarco. Do you guys think I could just buy a stealth arms barrel and have it fit properly or should I go another route? Thanks for the help.

Try it. Non-ramped barrels built correctly will feed. Ramped are more reliable.

That looks like one of their ramped 9mm/38 Super/40/10mm frames, not a 45.
"Pre-cut for Clark/Para style ramped barrels"
I would be very surprised if you can get that barrel and frame to work together :)

Be careful—there are two different standard ramped barrels: Wilson/Nowlin vs. Para/Clark. What make of frame is that?

If it was me I'd match the barrel to the frame, e.g. find a properly-cut ramped barrel.
Not sure if Stealth offers .45 ramped barrels (assuming that's the caliber you want).
Call 'em up and ask them, they are very helpful.

If you put a round in a mag and put it in the frame, you'll see there's a large unsupported gap (I've got a couple of these StealthArms frames and just looked at one for the heck of it); it might feed ball ammo when it feels like it, but probably not reliably.
There's a reason JMB put a ramp in the frame :)

Stealth Arms uses the Para/Clark cut....

Yeah, that frame looks like it’s got the curve in it, so it would be a Para/Clark.

No. This is a picture of one of my 1911’s. It’s a 1967 Camp Perry National Match. Pretty similar. Feeds with no problem. Put it together and see if it feeds. If not, get a ramped barrel.

what you have is a frame that needs a "ramped barrel"

the barrel you have is designed for a frame the has the feed ramp built
in, that you would blend to a non ramped barrel. Hence the bevel on the
bottom of the barrel into the chamber...

You have 2 options buy a "ramped barrel" or buy a frame that's designed
    for a "non ramped" barrels

check out some mosinvirus YouTube videos that may help you or

most places give you a choice in frame design Standard.....Wilson / Nowlin.....Clark / Para..
and the latter is what you have....
    which some have mentioned above...

mostly all mine have Bar-Sto barrels installed, except the beater ones

    Have fun building...

I don’t know man—I wouldn’t bother. He hasn’t even cut the barrel feet yet, so he could potentially ruin the barrel for use with a standard frame.

    More importantly, is that 1967 an RIA or a Springfield? I’ve got a 1961 and a 1968.

The frame is a 1944 Remington Rand. Built at RIA. I forget the name of the armorer who worked on the gun, but I have the info somewhere. Great shooter.

The frame shown is cut for use with a Clark/Para ramped barrel. Even ball ammo will not feed if used with the barrel shown on the frame. Rock Island Armory uses a Clark/Para ramped barrel in all calibers except 45 ACP, at least in 5” pistols. Not at a bad price either for the calibers they make them for. Finding a Clark ramped barrel in 45 ACP may not be that inexpensive since the majority of barrels made are the nonramped variety.
