Mossberg is smart doing this.

In MD its going to be a no go for sales unless its exempted from the handgun roster. If the gun is sold with a barrel shorter than 16" its a handgun.

So, since the rest of the nation will be able to buy them as an "other". Could you buy it in another state and bring it home with you? Not trying to do illegal things but just trying to make sense of this state.

md could decide my Ford Bronco is a pistol but that doesn't make it so.

You could just do what I did, buy a PGO Moss 500 and sell the front end, then install a 14" 590 front end on it. I built mine for net $300 since I sold the long front end for the same price I paid for a used 590A1 14" front end. Also have to buy the Shockwave grip
