I mean... it makes sense? Looks like you gotta drill out the FCG and safety holes, which should be easy enough with a decent drill press or mill.

My semi-educated guess is yes, possession of the finished product is still illegal b/c we didn't possess before 10/1/13 and its a 7.62x39 AK. Not legal advice, of course.

Per the sellers distribution statement: "There are no serial numbers on any of the parts due to being a virgin parts kit."

That's pretty slick. Drilling a few holes is a lot easier than the rest of the steps would be. Too bad we're in MD.

Sure, I am referring to after completion of the kit. I don't see any issue with purchasing the 80% kit; I just don't think you can possess the completed firearm in MD. Not legal advice; just a semi-educated guess.

I am with you, I just struggle with determining when the firearm was completed.

well yeah, but its no good if it stays a paperweight. completing it turns it into a banned weapon that wasnt pre oct 13

What is very strange is that there are no traceable markings that could establish a build date.

If they released a model that was a pistol style, that would be MD legal.

Well since the manufacturer sells it just as a "parts kit," one could complete the "kit" with whatever parts they choose, including a pistol brace in lieu of the wire stock. Basically, I'm not seeing how the configuration the seller is selling the "parts kit" n has any relevance, as the wire stock is just one of many parts contained within their "parts kit."

    Just my $0.02
