Apparently this happened yesterday morning. Too bad no one outside of the police knew about it, I'm sure it could've been of use during testimony somehow.

On my one mile walk back to the stadium parking lot in the dark and alone last night, I carried my CCW card in my hand just in case. Pesky restrictions!

You sir should have found some business to conduct. :D

Wouldn't have mattered - the Maryland Capitol Police prohibit anyone other than ... wait for it ... police officers from bringing any dangerous item into Maryland Government Buildings. So unless there's a convenient and secure shrubbery wherein to stash your otherwise-legal defensive item outside the House office building, you'd be out of luck.

Yeah, walking back to the parking garage through Annapolis at midnight felt like I was in a Walking Dead episode. I was seriously wishing I had my folder with me. Hell, a sharp stick would have been welcome.

"Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects."

Why is that the standard ending to all the crime reports I see in the paper?
