Barrel cutting

I’m looking to get an old barrel cut to show the chamber and the gas port.
Anybody have an idea of where I could get this done and a guess at the cost?
Something like the top barrel in the picture below.
Don’t ask me why, I just like conversation pieces I guess, heck I might even start to build a complete rifle as I replace worn stuff.

Looks to me as if that was done on a mill. That's the way I'd do it anyway.

Easy job to do on a regular mill with any larger diameter end mill. I did a burned out 6.5-284 barrel a few years ago as a tool for demonstrations:

Well I’m regular mill and end mill poor.

I’m sure I could do it with stuff I’ve got but I know how much of a butcher I am and I’d rather it didn’t look like Stevie Wonder played a part in doing it. :lol2:
