    ^^^Perrin,

For my old M1 Garand, 47.7 grains of W-748 and Sierra 168 gr MatchKings in LC brass works extremely well!!!
(Pressures are 'o.k.' for the gas system on the Garand!)

I got this load from NRA many years ago, when I ran the High Power Program at SCSC.

I've got some more data from them, at home, if you want.

Thanks Keith, I have wanted to work out some handloads for my Garand. I want to see just how accurate it can be.

I'll dig out that data, from my file cabinet tonight!!

That load was used in one of the old "Club Guns" that we had accurized.
It would hold 1-3/4" to 2" groups off of sandbags, at 100 yards.

Strange. I was 'issued' that old M1 Garand in 1984, and I still can recall the serial #!!! :)

ETA: Perrin - worked in the yard yesterday evening. Forgot to dig out that data. I'll get it either tonight or over the weekend. (I'll be spending some time in the reloading room, this weekend, for sure!) Sorry!!!
