Rural King???

Last year, I visited a friend of mine who lives in Florida. He took me to a store called Rural King which seems to be a small chain. The store resimbled a giant Walmart or Tractor Supply. They had great prices on long guns and handguns and my friend said that he bought all his firearms through them. Anyone in Maryland bought any firearms through this chain?

I've done a lot of shopping at the one in Connellsville PA. Big store there with a lot of selection. It's my go to store for tannerite.

I haven't ordered any of their guns online though.

Haven't bought firearms in particular, but when I lived in SW-VA for a little while we shopped at the local one. They carry a little bit of everything. Name brand tools, hardware, lots of pet and animal stuff, clothes, food, etc.

nearest to me isin front royal virginia. i get their email specials sent to me. i know some martinsburg residents that shop there.

I’ve been shopping at Rural King since I was probably 8 or 9. The one in Front Royal is closest to me now. Good people.

Never purchased a gun there but I've gone to the one in front royal a few times. Nice store kind of like a TSC but with more and better stuff.

I was talking to my one middle aged son in Tennessee last week. He has a Rural King near him in Johnson City in the far NE corner of the state. I know he buys ammo from them as it pops up a few times a week there. I am not sure about firearms though. They do sell them there but he never mentioned buying them

Being as they have yet to set up shop anywhere in MD, and the only guns I'd be interested in with them would be handguns (I have pretty much everything they carry in long-guns in terms of types and roles), I've yet to buy a gun from them, but my buddy down in VA has purchased from them as they were cheaper than anywhere else at the time.

I DO, however, stop at the one outside of Charleston, WV every time I go visit my folks and load up on standard capacity Magpul mags and ammo. Love that store!

Website says that as of 2/15, they no longer transfer to outside FFLs. :shrug:

Not sure I would call them regular prices. You can definitely beat them online, or even at Bass Pro. If you're close to there and you need something it might be worth it to you.

Also before anyone wastes a trip, they have a sign posted at the gun counter saying they do not sell any firearms to MD residents.

Coolest thing about the RK in Morganton, NC (County Seat of Burke where 100+ openly armed residents surrounded the Civil War statue to prevent it being toppled by pieces of sh*t instigated by bussed in antifites) is the massive 4x8 banner they have hanging over the inside of the front door, showing the number of “shoplifters we have prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!”

While other chains are telling employees to not hinder shoplifters, RK is doing the opposite and then some.

It is literally the type of place where I’d not be surprised to see customers chase down and tackle a shoplifter.

No doubt about it, RK rocks!
