There are bubbafications and then there are bubbifications... Here is mine. The purists will shout that what I did to this C&R CZ-82 is sacrilege. To my way of thinking, I took the ugliest of three CZ-82s I own, had it Cerakoted and bought a nice pair of grips to turn it into one of the nicest handguns I own (my opinion, of course! :) ). It is the only C&R I have "bubbafied" and I have no regrets whatsoever.

Have one I did almost exactly the same thing too. I took it completely apart, bead blasted and parkerized it; installed nearly identical grips.

Don't know how to attach the original pics. They are in #69 in this thread.

German K98k. Interesting all the work on the original military stock to make this thing.

Some of these weapons are actually very nice looking. The worst I ever saw as far as Bubba C&R had to be an M1 Garand sawed off at each end which I saw on another gun board years back. I wish that I had a picture of it; it was sacrilege and I cringed when I saw it.

I was at a shop in Brunswick today, and they had a mostly stock Swedish Mauser. Just was drilled and tapped with rail mounts for a scope. I was seriously considering it.

GB last week... early byf/43 (Mauser) in the d-block

If he hadn't gone with that hideous color combination (the blue really "pops" LOL), he'd have something there. The work was done well for shortening the barrel, adding the front sight to the slide bridge and shortening the grip and magazine. But apparently several people liked it since it sold for almost $800, which isn't that far off from an original one in nice shape.

Owwwww... Look at the beautiful "straw" colors on the frame and the "FIRE BLUED" accents....

(hurka, hurka.... glorph... hurka, ugh.. blech, urrp, urrrrrp, blech....)
