    UPDATE - looks like the new online scheduling system is going live in July. User groups will need to create an account and have it approved before then ... I expect a deluge of registration requests this month.

    To All FCPS Community Groups

    Your name is on our contact list for FCPS Community Use of Facilities. Please be aware a new online procedure for registering groups and reserving school rooms and outdoor fields is coming soon. As approved by the Board in January, new fee structures and application procedures will take effect on July 1, 2015. At this time, we are holding applications for requested dates after July 1 in order to apply the new online procedures.

    The new online software is called FS-Direct, an application from SchoolDude, Inc. This software has been time tested at many other school districts around the US and we are confident it will work well for the FCPS. Training for school staff is ongoing and we anticipate that this new online application will result in a more efficient system for schools and community groups.

    The new on-line procedure will be a two-step process for community user groups. When the online system is up and running, the first step will be to click the Use of Facilities Calendar and Request Form (http://www.communityuse.com/default.asp?acctnum=915059712) link in the upper right corner and register your group by filling out the information requested for new users. Note there is a video to walk you through the registration steps. Your Certificate of Insurance will be required for approval of your group’s registration. Please send an electronic copy of your certificate to uof.facilities@fcps.org. Please allow enough time for the approval process - at least 10 work days before the event.     Once registration is approved, the next step is to fill out a request for a field or room at the school through the Use of Facilities Calendar and Request Form link. Note there is a video to walk you through the steps to complete an application
