Other than Question 1, which has its own thread, has anyone researched the other Questions and Amendments on the 2016 ballot? FYI I'm in Anne Arundel County, which I also care about of course, but other items are state-wide.

    Comments?

Edit: And oh, judges - what about retention of each of the judges?

(And yes I know: 4 Judges Strong! on the first page of the AACO ballot.)

Normally I vote against all of them because anything a politician wants is against my best interest.;)

I searched the local GOP website last week to see whether the party had analysis or recs, and was disappointed that I couldn't find a thing. I didn't check the Dem site, but they're probably all over it.

If in doubt vote the incumbent out.

Never cast a vote for someone who is running unopposed, it only encourages them.

Vote against continuing in office because maybe the next one will be better and it keeps the office holder humble.

Any question supported by politicians is bad for the voters.

    Carroll County
NO to retention of Dan Friedman, Court of Special Appeals

Dan Friedman is on my ballot (Carroll) as an At Large judge on the Court of Special Appeals, so I believe he is on state-wide.

He was formerly an Assistant Atty. General. From our friends at the Baltimore Sun:

Friedman has been the chief architect behind the [sic] Maryland's defense of its new ban on the sale of assault weapons, upheld by a judge earlier this year, as well as several other high-profile cases.
