My first warning shot is in your chest. Get back up, and my second warning shot is going into you cranium. :innocent0

That sounds like what one should do in such circumstances.

My opinion is that given how poor reporting often is in these situations, not enough info to determine good or bad shoot at this time.

Very badly worded lead into this. Could be interesting.

Isn't using a vehicle as a weapon deadly force in escaping? The guy shot at tires.

Need more information to come out, but it seems "news" wants to make the perps victims.

The problem here is he/she was shooting at the tires. If the security person was on foot, and the suspects were bearing down on him that would be a different story. But I still wouldn't be/say I was shooting at the tires.

To me largely the point is if the thieves were such a threat to the security personnel, shooting out the tires is going to do NOTHING to stop the immediate threat. If you are shooting (especially as a civilian) a gun it needs to be stopping an imminent threat right away. At best it is stupid and reckless what the guy did. If he shot as the driver and misjudged the danger of the situation that’s one thing. But pretty much no matter what his actions were reckless.
