The Washington Post's Motto is right, Democracy Dies in Darkness... so will many more people if we start to try to disassemble the Constitution.
Lies killed the Soviet Union, it took only 71 years, from the revolution to 1991, and it's death caused by the lies about Chernobyl finally catching up to them...
We are lying too here in the US. Not nearly the same rate as the KGB covered up, but we do it still, and worse, to ourselves!
We lie that guns kill, but the reality is much worse. We kill more people in the US due to poor health, bad diets, lack of adequate healthcare, wealth inequality, the lies we're told about the real rate of inflation used as means tests for Social Security (to deny higher payouts to the poor elderly), poor mental healthcare, the real number of unemployed, that run amok Capitalism is good, (communism isn't better). And we're lied to, by, for and about Corruption. On both sides. Right and Left.
The SYSTEM is guilty, all of it. We allow politicians to amass wealth and power, why the hell else would Donald Trump want to be President. We re-elect the same idiots time and time again. TERM LIMITS and LIFETIME LIMITS on Public Office are the ANSWER! Stop politicians from living a lifetime in the career of politician. We have 375 million (375,000,000) people over 8 billion (8,000,000,000) in the planet, and yet approximately 536 (if you count the President) control us all from Capitol Hill... and fewer than 150,000 globally. Do you SEE the difference in the number of ZEROS? I do, it's plain as day. We can and must do better at picking those who lead. We have a bunch of self-serving managers in control, lining their own pockets.
Damn it, we'd have better luck if we chose them all by lottery, and they got to serve for 6 years, and done. Every job. Judges, no more lifetime appointments. Lobbyists, banned, well, no longer needed, how do you corrupt someone already in office with no chance of re-election?
Dismantle the health insurance industry. We are all responsible for each other, both good and bad choices. And we need to pool our resources to ensure ALL are covered.
Forget the 2nd amendment, leave it and all the others alone, all the amendments. They work well. What isn't working, is the fact that money and power has figured out how to corrupt the system for its own benefit.
The very politicians who think the rich need more money and less taxes, are the same ones blowing smoke over abortion and other social issues, who cares who someone else sleeps with or are married to? They use that to drum up support over emotional issues, while at the same time, doing things behind the scenes to impoverish YOU. They want to fool you into thinking Immigration is BAD, while at the same time, many of those rich company owners have NO issues hiring CHEAPER labor... Come on, which is it???
Ask yourself, do you think any rich person really gives a rats behind about some poor American woman who got pregnant, most likely because she either couldn't afford protection, couldn't find it, wasn't educated about it, or had no choice, or whose religion poisoned her mind against birth control? Where are they with fast, safe, free and plentiful adoption options? Can you say other choices are available?
Who controls all of those too? Religions that is... Rich old people, who use the power of the word to sway and control the masses.
Haven't we as a species learned yet how easy we are to control; how easy it is to corrupt our thoughts? These politicians are in NO way different than the KGB, they just tell fewer and smaller lies that people can't see through, and eventually, they tell so many lies, no one knows what the truth is any more. And by then, it doesn't matter their politics, they are ALL THE SAME.
These rich, old, smart, manipulators, have it all figured out. They make you so scared, you stay in jobs that are killing you by degrees. They sell you cheap goods that aren't safe but make them more money. They sell you food that is cheap, but slowly destroys your health, then they are more than happy to impoverish you if you cannot afford healthcare, which is also too expensive for many, or for illnesses that your 'insurance' doesn't cover that new, experimental and very expensive treatment for.
Wake up people, its time. USA 2.0 needs to start now. Vote them all out, and elect people who favor term limits. And we need the 2nd amendment to make sure we the people, can do those things, IF WE HAVE THE RESOLVE!
