    The CMP site indicated that there are some states that do NOT allow them to ship a rifle directly to a residence...most notably California but some other are mentioned in passing.

    Are there any issues ordering an M1 Garand rifle from the CMP and having it shipped to me directly?

    Ask on the CMP Forum, you are more likely to find a fellow Idahoan on a national forum than on a Maryland forum.

    As long as you meet the requirements posted by CMP and pay for your rifle; FedEx will be showing up at your door for a signature (required).
