Can someone give me the low down on removing someone from a trust?

My ex was/is a current part of my NFA trust, but I need to remove her now. I’ve already added in some other people to the trust but would like to clean it up. Things are amicable between which is good but I would still prefer to have her removed.

Is there just an amendment I need to make? Thank you...

FYI: I used the silencerco easy trust to set this up a few years back before things changed. Obviously hindsight being 20/20 I would’ve gone through a lawyer but at the time I didn’t have the money (still don’t lol)

This is 100% dependent on the wording of your Trust.

Likely you can just write an amendment to remove her from it, but depending on how the trust is worded and if she was a full Trustee, there may be a process outlined to do so which may require her participation. Read the trust and see what it has to say about the amendment process.

Given the wording of the trust I believe that I am able to make any amendments to the trust that I see fit. So unless there’s a law against it in the state of MD, which I haven’t been able to find, I should be able to just write something along the lines of as of 4/6/2018 “EX” is no longer a trusteee of the “” Trust. Then have it notarized. Attach it to the document and it should be GTG.

    Thank you for the response
