Marlin made tube-fed bolt actions up until they went out of business.Cool! Unusual tube fed bolt gun.
Got it! Actually wasn’t aware that there were as many different manufacturers that made them over the years. Hell, I’m old and been shooting since I was a kid and have never handled one. I’m assuming the the action works similar to a tube fed rimfire lever action or semiauto.Marlin made tube-fed bolt actions up until they went out of business.
I think the tube-fed would have been handy for a walking hunter. Plenty of capacity but no magazine sticking out. Flush fit mag is 10 rounds max while the tube is like 15. More if you are shooting shorts.Got it! Actually wasn’t aware that there were as many different manufacturers that made them over the years. My first gun I bought was a Marlin Glenfield Model 60. Purchased from Best Products in Towson for $49.99 if my memory serves me right. Still have it. Can’t even start to think how many bricks have been run through it. Only thing I had to replace was the nylon buffer that broke apart from so many rounds.I think the tube-fed would have been handy for a walking hunter. Plenty of capacity but no magazine sticking out. Nice stock!! A beauty. I read somewhere that model 60 Marlin (including the different brand variations) is the most numerous 22 semi-auto rifle - even more produced than the 10/22.My first gun I bought was a Marlin Glenfield Model 60. My FIL had one and now my son has it. It's just like yours.
Chamber a round and put 2 more in the tube. The lifter holds one and the chamber holds one.
Make sure the safety is on before adding more rounds. Your hand is right at the muzzle.Chamber a round and put 2 more in the tube. The lifter holds one and the chamber holds one.
Good advice.Make sure the safety is on before adding more rounds. Your hand is right at the muzzle.
They made a bunch. I have 3 right now, a Marlin Glenfield that my father bought for me at K Mart for $40 (including scope), a Marlin 60 and a Revelation (Western Auto's brand name) made by Marlin that both belonged to my father.
