I'm in search of and 80% lower jig I could rent or purchase. Thanks
Sorry not trying to be rude.....but good luck...
Only suggestion is to order one and wait...
5D Tactial ROUTER JIG PRO MULTIPLATFORM - AR-15/AR-9/AR-45/.308/AR-10....8-week or longer wait..
they also have changed the jig design and material from all steel / Aluminum to some plastic as in base plate,
also skeletonized side plates, but charging the same price.
80% Arms Easy Jig Gen 3 Multi-Platform it says 5-7 weeks delay but running up
to more like 8-10 weeks. They claim theirs is "all metal" but they also have gone to the skeletonized side plates.
Modulus Arms...Universal AR -308, -15, -9,-45 and AR-10 80% Lower Jig - Router Jig Extreme...They say
8 or more weeks, but have basically gone silent like last time as far as I know don't know if they will go the way
they did last time.
There are threads on this / these here:

I thought about selling my 5D tactical. I must have 50 lowers through it. I just can't do it. What if I need another one? What if some super model offers sex for jig access?

Muleskinner;6072790[B said:]I would steer clear from the five 5D products up until recently they were very good but the last few weeks they've been replacing the aluminum router plate with one made of plastic and skeletonized the side plates instead of making them solid there have been a number of complaints in the 80% builders world about their changes[/B]. They claim that the plastic has no bearing on the jigs ability to be functional however anybody with a brain knows that aluminum is stronger than polymer. I would go with the 80% arms easy jig version two or three. Version 1 works very well but it is cumbersome.. that's what I use.
Now that's a "game changer"...... might be worth it..
"If" you need the money then sell it. otherwise keep it as with the climate
out there it would be wise to keep it. Your jig is all metal, solid side plates,
so keep it. I've got em all all this point "except the" Gen 3 from 80% Arms
its on order for atleast 3-weeks now. Just call me a "jig collector" Finally
gonna get a mill, settled on PM 727V w/DRO, 932M w/DRO, but gonna have
to wait till the move to SC mid next year or earlier.

Go ahead and sell it. They usually prefer the larger calibers...
Pretty sure you're gonna need it some more...I thought about selling my 5D tactical. I must have 50 lowers through it. I just can't do it. What if I need another one? What if some super model offers sex for jig access?
Yeah they ain't happy...calling them everything..."Bait and Switch" going the cheapest route possible to make more money, using the current climate as the excuse, saying it's an "impoved" version, etc..charging more for less.. We have been talking about it at the other place..also..talking about taking the top plate to a machinist and have one made, where to
get the press in bushings, etc. for the side plates

I don't need the money. Keeping.
We can go up to .50 Beo, and I have the .308 jig.....
there are other manufacturers jigs out there that aren't as easy to use but still function. If you have a little bit of knowledge on CNC or general metal work they would probably be fine. I bought my 80% arms gen 1 easy jig almost 5 years ago and I have milled eight or nine lowers with it. The only complaint that I have with that jig besides the fact that you spend an awful lot of time reconfiguring for certain steps is that the end mills don't last real long and in some cases it takes multiple Mills to do one lower. Probably the quality of the end mills that they supply. I think if you were to buy high quality emails you probably could use one to do multiple lowers. I currently have one lower about halfway milled because the end Mill broke and I have yet to order replacements. You have to buy the exact same endMill style in order for it to function properly. They're not easy to find and when you do they are not cheap for a good quality one. I'll get around to it eventually
