Build 4 didn’t make it, locking block wouldn’t fit and ended up cracking, polymer is taking care of it, coming soon....

Wow that’s bad and shouldn’t happen!! I’ve had to angle shave the block to get in before

That’s the cut in half pic for polymer. The crack happened in rear of the front rail from trying to force the block in.

Yeah they “pre angle” them but My last build needed a little more so i did a small bit of sanding and was able to rubber mallet it in.

Neither of the full-size I’ve done have been pre-angled both needed to be but the robin egg one would not fully seat and ended up cracking even after shaving the edge down. The compacts went in easily. Hopefully the next will be right.

Put the block in the deep freeze before inserting it. As cold as you can... it makes a very slight dimensional change that worked well for me, when combined with a slight chamfer.

That, my friend, is a damn good idea. I have had to chamfer and mallot them in. Never thought of the freezer route.

I’ve read this also and figured if the replacement frame gives me any issues, I’ll go that route.

Cali has already enacted laws that the 80% frames have to ship with a s/n. I believe it started 1 July.

Just fyi, I got a safariland 577 gls. It's safariland's newest universal/multi-fit holster, with a very easy to use grip lock retention.
It fits my pf940v2 very well. It also works with my g17 and 19. The the 19 has a little wiggle with the holster adjusted for a smooth draw on the pf940v2. Not enough wiggle to keep me from using it with confidence though.

You can find them for under $50, with paddle and belt versions. I assume they have models for dedicated compact pistol use too.
